On October 28th and November 11th, the cadets of the TEENS Merchant Marine Academy paid tribute to “OΧΙ” Day and the liberation of Chios with heartfelt dedication. Guided by their Physical Education teacher, Mr. Panagiotis Mestousis, the cadets participated in a wreath-laying ceremony and proudly marched in the traditional student parade. Clad in their uniforms, they represented the academy with distinction, honoring these historic milestones and inspiring pride among parents, teachers, and fellow citizens.

On November 12th, the cadets had the opportunity to visit the educational sailing vessel “Mania.” This visit offered them a hands-on introduction to the ship’s bridge instruments and GMDSS equipment. Through this immersive experience, the cadets gained valuable practical knowledge of modern maritime technology while reinforcing their understanding of the paramount importance of safety at sea.
