On November 15th, students from “Maria’s Home” visited the “T.E.E.N.S.” Merchant Marine Academy, where they were introduced to the Captain and Engineer departments by Directors Captain K. Mennis, Mr. M. Xynos, and Administrative Director Mrs. T. Tsardaka. The visit provided a comprehensive overview of the opportunities offered by maritime education, including the admission procedures and study programs available at the academy. The professors emphasised the importance of career guidance in maritime professions, offering the students valuable insights into the shipping industry’s diverse prospects and career paths. The interactive session encouraged students to explore their future options and consider the maritime sector as a viable and rewarding career choice.
Additionally, a similar informative session was held for the third-grade students of T.E.E.N.S. Academy. Captain Konstantinos Mennis, Ms. Tsardaka, Mr. Xynos, Mr. Tasos Kartsimadakis, Captain Nikos Athanasiou, and Mr. Alekos Kritsiotakis engaged with the students, highlighting the numerous opportunities and potential benefits of pursuing maritime education at T.E.E.N.S. Designed to inspire and inform, these discussions equipped students with the knowledge and motivation to make well-considered decisions about their future in this dynamic and rewarding field.
