On the evening of October 27th, on the eve of the National Anniversary of the heroic “NO” of the Greeks to the Italians, our boarders participated in the lighting of the fiery “NO” atop of the mountain “Margaritis”, followed by a procession of torch bearers shouting “NO” along with a crowd of Kardamyla inhabitants, in a revival of an old custom.
At the initiative of “Maria’s House” boarders, a two-day Christmas bazaar was organized in the Central Square of Chios with charms, ornaments, sweets and cookies for sale, made with love by our teenagers.
As every year, the proceeds will be used to to help our fellow citizens.
