The known “Initiative ’21” (“Protovoulia ’21”), a collaboration between our country’s most respected Public Benefit Foundations, established with the scope to promote events in commemoration of the 200th anniversary of the Greek Revolution, continues its activities in 2023, focusing on climate change. Our Foundation, along with the John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation, financially support the ‘Climate Academy: An Open School for Climate Change’ programme, introduced by the University of Athens, supervised and coordinated by Prof. Kostas Kartalis, Director of the Department of Environment Physics. The world-renowned organisation HELMEPA supports this initiative through a specially developed programme for youth. The overall scope is to develop a digital Climate Academy that will provide reliable scientific information, support educational activities, and raise awareness about Climate Change among the general public.
