On May 2^nd, the students of our Academy, Engine and Deck Cadets, had the opportunity to visit the educational sailing vessel S/Y “Mania” and delved into a comprehensive exploration of maritime practices and technology. The Deck Cadets were afforded the invaluable opportunity of steering the vessel, whilst the engineers visited the engine room. They also familiarized themselves with the bridge instruments, practiced position fixing and route plotting and were trained in the use of the GMDSS and the ECDIS.

Through these immersive experiences, our students not only deepen their understanding of maritime navigation and communication, but also cultivate the essential skills required for a successful start in their respective fields.
