On June 20th, we had the great honor of welcoming to Chios and to the facilities of the Model Nautical High School and the Merchant Marine Academy, H.E. the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the Hellenic Republic, Mr. Fang Qiu, accompanied by his delegation.

His Excellency was thoroughly briefed on the pioneering educational program being implemented, aimed at strengthening maritime education and training. Through discussions with the administration, educators and students, our holistic strategy in maritime education was highlighted, focusing on delivering a comprehensive educational program (theory and practical training) using modern techniques and tools.

In this context, the initiation of cooperation with corresponding academies in China was agreed upon.
