On November 18^th and 20^th, the first-year Deck Cadets of our Academy, had the opportunity to visit the educational sailing yacht “Mania”. During the visit, our students delved into a comprehensive exploration of maritime practices and technology. The Deck Cadets were afforded the opportunity to train in steering the vessel, in the use of the GMDSS communication station and the ECDIS, to familiarize themselves with the bridge instruments and to practice position fixing and route plotting.

Through these experiences, our students not only deepen their understanding of maritime navigation and communication, but also the essential skills that are required for a successful start in their respective fields.
