As part of their practical training and in an effort to bridge theoretical knowledge with real-world industrial processes, the first-year students of our Academy’s Engineering and Electro-Technical Department conducted an educational visit to the Public Power Corporation (Δ.Ε.Η.) facilities on December 15th.
During the visit, the students toured the premises of the plant and observed the operation of energy and mechanical systems. Experienced professionals from the company provided insights into the operation of the power generation engines, control panels, distribution systems and the unique challenges involved in running a power station, especially on an island.
This educational visit served as a valuable experiential learning opportunity, enhancing the students’ technical familiarity and providing them with practical knowledge to complement their academic foundation. Their active participation in discussions and their insightful questions highlighted their enthusiasm and commitment to continuous learning.
Such initiatives are a vital part of our educational philosophy, aiming at shaping skilled and inspired professionals, ready to meet the evolving demands of today’s industrial landscape.
