On occasion of the Holy Cross celebration at Kardamyla, our students had the opportunity to attend the Mass before visiting “Maria’s Home”, where in the presence of our Captain, a consecration ceremony took place for the beginning of the school year. Specific reference was made to the anniversary celebration of 10 years since the establishment of the Campus.

On 26th August, a delegation of our students participated in the commemorative celebration of the Day of Remembrance of the Lost Merchant Seamen of World War II (1939-1945). The event was organized by the Regional Unit of Chios and took place in the Maritime Museum of Chios.

On 7th and 8th August, a two-day summer sailing was organized with our training yacht m.y. “Mania”. Upon arrival at Oinousses island, the students visited the local Maritime Museum, and whilst in Kardamyla they strolled around the nautical village and visited “Maria’s Home”. As part of the sailing exercise, our students had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the newly installed GMDSS equipment and its use. The station consists of all the required navigation instruments and equipment to facilitate training and knowledge.
