On February 14^th, our boarders attended the educational program, “Discovering Adamantios Koraes”, at the Central PublicLibrary of Chios.  The Chian, Adamantios Koraes, having completed his medical studies in France, realized that the intellectual part of his personality outweighed everything else, and moved to Paris, becoming a brilliant philologist and one of the intellectual instigators of the 1821 Greek Revolution.  During their visit, our boarders explored the world of books and the historical treasures housed in the library, and learnt of the importance of preserving and promoting our country’s cultural heritage.
