On June 20th we had the exceptional opportunity to welcome H.E. the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the Hellenic Republic, Mr. Fang Qiu. Captain Panagiotis N. Tsakos specifically travelled to Chios for the occasion and welcomed H.E. and his delegation at our premises, where they were particularly interested in learning the history of our building throughout time, as well as the mission and vision of our Foundation. A visit to the premises of the ´T.E.E.N.S.´ Model Vocational Nautical Lyceum and the Merchant Marine Academy followed and a detailed presentation on the pioneering educational program implemented there was given, which aims at advancing maritime education and training. The day ended with a short cruise on our educational sailing yacht “Mania”.
The next day we visited Kardamyla and “Maria’s Home”, where our guests had the opportunity to enjoy discussions with our Boarders and the locals.
