Various events were held at our premises during the summer, amongst which was the Conference of “LES AMIS DE PSARA” on July 18th, which focused on the heroic antics of Greek women during the Revolution, and in particular the brave lady of Psara, Despina Kanaris, wife of Konstantinos Kanaris, who escaped from the destruction of the island, by swimming to safety with her young children.

Our courtyard also hosted friends of literature and book lovers, who enthusiastically participated in the nfollowing presentations: a) “The Heart of the World” by Mrs. Irene Nikolakis – Kalamaris, b) a historical novel by Mr. John Tzoumas, c) a novel by Mrs. Meli Tsakou – Vyzaniari and d) a tribute to the refugees of Chios by Mr. Dimitris Frezoulis.

On an equally creative note, the presentation of the children’s theatrical play, “Blue Butterfly”, by Mr. Babis Koiliaris, brought joy and smiles to the audience. Last but not least, the end of the school year celebration by the kindergarten “Lillipoupoli” gave a special touch to the evening.
