How delightful it was to welcome a delegation of volunteers from Greece, headed by Elisavet and Irene N. Tsakos, together with other members of the Tsakos family, and friends. We were also privileged to host Eleni Efthymiadis from the Lotus and Leon shipping families, and four of her friends, Danae, Marianna, Loli, and Sophia. The whole delegation were full of energy and warmth and made a lasting impression upon our school community. The volunteers engaged our students via lessons in Greek and English and organized a variety of fun and educational activities, such as sports, dance, and career guidance sessions. Their creativity, enthusiasm, and compassion filled the school with joy and excitement. As part of their visit, the volunteers also toured the Regional Maritime University of Ghana and Bernhard Schulte Management (BSM), where St. Nicholas is exploring scholarship opportunities for its graduates. Members of our Navy Cadet Corps proudly joined them on the visit, gaining valuable exposure to the world of maritime studies. This visit was a true celebration of friendship, learning and cultural exchange and left behind not only memories, but also inspiration.
