On February 9th, our premises buzzed with excitement as we hosted a captivating beekeeping seminar led by our esteemed partner, Mr. Margaritis Karatzas. Delving into the intricate process of honey production, the seminar illuminated the invaluable properties of honey and underscored the vital role bees play in maintaining the delicate balance of our ecosystem.
Our students visited the historic monastery of “Saint Minas”, where 2.000 Chian citizens were massacred by the Ottomans in 1822. Their visit to the “Museum of Massacres” served as a profound educational experience, fostering a deeper understanding of the harrowing events surrounding this tragic event.

Fueled by a passion for environmental stewardship, our students eagerly participated in the environmental conference organized by the “Maria Tsakos” Foundation and the I. Latsis Foundation in collaboration with HELMEPA. The conference served as a platform for dialogue and action and the introduction of the “Chios Climate Chance” programme which is sponsored by the two Foundations. Empowered as youth ambassadors of HELMEPA, our students ardently championed the cause of environmental protection and climate awareness, igniting change and inspiring fellow citizens to join the movement.
