On Tuesday, 14th March 2023, a delegation from the Civil Protection and Fire Department of Chios held a seminar at Maria’s Home. The aim was to inform the employees and boarders of the correct response in the event of fire or earthquake.
On 25th March, Captain Alekos Karamouzos, a Kardamylian writer, gave a speech at Maria’s Home, recounting the historical events of Greece’s liberation from the Ottomans focusing on pertinent events for surrounding the Liberation of Kardamyla.
On Sunday, 26th of March 2023, the Nutritionist-Dietitian Mrs. Kelly Melitzanis, lectured our students on the necessity of a healthy and balanced nutrition, especially during adolescence. On the spot preparation of healthy snacks was enjoyed by all participants.
On the occasion of our vessel m.t. “Eurovision” calling at Kardamyla, the students of “Maria’s Home”, accompanied by Capt.Thomas Myofas, headed to the outer port by tug to welcome and greet the seamen and deliver local provisions and sweets.
