Throughout the month of February, our premises buzzed with the vibrant energy of summer activities, offering a rich variety of linguistic and cultural experiences open to all. From engaging workshops in philosophy and in phonology, to enthusiastic sessions of Greek dances and the exploration of gastronomic traditions, there was something for everyone to savor and enjoy. Participants immersed themselves in Greek language, film projections and the sound of rebetiko.

For International Greek Language Day, on February 10th, we headed out to our yard and, accompanied by the melodies of Greek songs, we invited passers-by and students to participate in fun linguistic games, encouraging their contact with the Greek language.

On February 12th, our summer philosophy workshop entitled “Socrates: a model of consistency between thought and action”, welcomed Mr. Pablo da Silveira, Doctor of Philosophy and author of the book “Histories of Philosophers”. Mr. da Silveira, who at the time was serving as Uruguay’s Minister of Education and Culture, attended the lesson of our professor, Mrs. Dafne Gnazzo, and upon conclusion of the workshop, he responded to questions from the audience, based upon his own approaches.
