During the summer season, we had the pleasure of hosting various events. On July 5th,Eurobank’s presentation “Prospects and Challenges of the International and Greek Economy” by Deputy C.E.O., Economist Dr. Anastasios Anastasopoulos, was well attended by many Chians.
On August 29th the North Aegean Region organized an anniversary event with a presentation of the historical documentary, “The Destruction of Chios 1922”. Speeches by author Dr. Ioli Vigopoulou and Mr. Michalis Moschos, member of the Foundation’s Board , were met with great enthusiasm by the audience.
Additionally, on a more creative note, several book presentations took place amongst which a) two fairy tales by Mr. Babis Koiliaris, b) a novel by Mr. Kon. Krommidas “I will love you until my next life”, c) a tribute to the people of Chios who lived through the difficult years of the German occupation, written by Mr. Dimitris Frezoulis and d) the book “Women” by Mrs. Meli Vyzaniaris-Tsakou.
